evon, together with our new partner in traffic technology, Caverion Austria, were able to successfully complete the first construction phase of the Wilten Tunnel on the A12 Inntal motorway before Christmas 2016.

As always, we implemented XAMControl as the management and control system and the project highlight was the first implementation of a bi-directional coupling to the traffic management system run by the ASFiNAG. The particular challenge was and is the “live” installation, i.e. to install the system without halting the flow of traffic – in the busiest traffic region south of Innsbruck with 45.000 vehicles daily. We very much look forward to working with our professional partner Caverion and the operational staff of ASFiNAG in the west of Austria.
